The Kenco Coffee Company has launched a ‘Make Every Cup Count’ campaign with the goal of providing 500 million glasses of clean water to South American coffee farming communities.

From March 1 until December 31, 2014, Kenco will donate one glass of clean water for every cup of Kenco Vending, Roast & Ground and Kenco 2Go sold, meaning coffee lovers across the country can make a special difference in someone’s life – just by enjoying their favourite coffee.

Frederique Lock, senior brand manager for The Kenco Coffee Company, said,  “At Kenco we believe in doing things the right way. That’s why we are proud to work with partners such as Pronatur to provide access to clean water in South American communities via our Make Every Cup Count campaign.

“By working with Pronatur, we were able to identify the local need for easy access to clean water. Families now have a source of clean water for at least 25 years, thanks to the installation of water tanks in their communities. This allows them to focus their energy on where their passion really lies, whether that be caring for the family or focusing on building a prosperous business.

“With your help, we can make a real difference and provide at least 500 million glasses of clean water for them.”

The campaign is part of Mondelēz International’s ‘Coffee Made Happy’ initiative, which plans to help one million coffee farmers become successful entrepreneurs by 2020.

To achieve this mission, Mondelēz International is investing a minimum of $200 million in giving coffee farmers the skills they need to run profitable, sustainable and innovative businesses, as well as access to infrastructures and resources to be better connected to markets and prosperous communities.

Kenco coffee is available through many of Mannvend’s drinks machines so we are happy to support this worthwhile initiative.
